Thanks to generous support from our community, SPARK, the Education Foundation for Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS), was able to fill over 1,300 backpacks with pencils, crayons, scissors, highlighters, notebooks, and more. This broke the Foundation’s previous record!
These backpacks and supplies will be distributed to students in need at 8 schools, as well as the Global Welcome Centers.
In addition, boxes of extra supplies were made available to 9 additional schools in need, which include supplies such as tissues, markers, filler paper, graph paper, rulers, glue bottles, glue sticks, and more!
SPARK is grateful to all the community and business partners who showed up and collected backpacks and supplies on our behalf.
Burlap & Daisies, Chick-fil-A Woodbridge, Fusion Innovation, Route Stars, George Mason College of Education and Human Development, Heritage Country Club, Holder Construction Company, IMEG Corp., and the Prince William County Community Foundation.
SPARK appreciates the cooperation of external donors, internal support, and volunteers, for their help to kick-start the new school year with so many supplies making it into the hands of our students!
