What could your money accomplish?
Your contribution to SPARK makes a difference! We appreciate your support of the Foundation's efforts and remind you that no contribution is too small. Just look what your dollars can do:
- $10 buys a paperback book for a classroom
- Through SPARK's partnership with Bookworm Central, a $10 donation could help put a book in the hands of a student and/or teacher in the classroom.
- $25 fills one or more bookbags with school supplies
- Each summer, SPARK collects monetary and school supply donations to build hundreds of backpacks for students in need of school supplies for the start of the new school year.
- $50 feeds a family over the weekend
- Many of our schools are partnered with community organizations to make sure our students and their families have food over the weekend.
- $100 supports two students to attend field trips to the Children's Science Center
- SPARK's partnership with AWS and the Children's Science Center supports field trips for elementary school students. The cost for the field trip and transportation is roughly $50 per student. This field trip is offered to students at participating schools at no cost.
- $250 provides a classroom library
- Classroom libraries are often made available through teacher's personal funds, or school's limited budgets. A $250 donation could provide a classroom library with books thoughtfully curated by Bookworm Central.
Or you can request to have your donation sponsor our SPARK Grants program, a specific scholarship fund, or any other initiative you choose.
Whether your money goes into SPARK's general fund or to a designated program account, you can feel good knowing that you are making education better and brighter for Prince William County Public Schools students.
Thank you for your contribution!
