In late January, PWCS teachers were invited to drop by the Kelly Leadership Center to replenish their classroom libraries and supplies for the second semester.
The book and supply teacher workday event was held by SPARK, the Education Foundation for Prince William County Public Schools, and offered various in-demand school supplies, and a large selection of new books, donated by business partner Bookworm Central.
Elementary school teachers took over 1,200 books back to their respective class libraries. Over 1,740 books were picked up by teachers throughout the day.
During the event, community partner Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield was on-site to provide updated information and answer any questions about Medicaid options.
SPARK would like to thank Bookworm Central and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield for making the event a success!
Teachers: Be on the lookout for similar events from SPARK in the future and thank you for all you do!
